Beloved cuzzie sprang surprise kambek for mummy's birthday and of coz to see all of us... hehe! So nice lepak.....eating galore!!! (must've gained some weight as well...but good la got time lepak w cuzzie n eatinggggg)
*not so good news* Heard that one of my good pal had a freak accident and was unconscious. sigh.... sad news....

April

Got up to Penang for short trip wif parents, met up wif dear pals there. Nice...but trip was too short.

BIG MILESTONE. Changed jobs. Wa liao.... from some comfy one, like got thrown to the other deep end of the pool liddat. Thanks to family members n friends who haf been really supportive. Thanks for offering your listening, for offering your advice, for praying and wishing me all the best. Love ya to bits.

Attended another one of my fave schoolmates wedding. Wa lau.... another milestone in their lives, another spouse name to remember... ARRRGHHH!!!! Hahaha!!!!

One of my fave gym mates off to Sydney to work. aiyoooo (all these peeps trying to flee from me or what??waahhaahah!!!)




June

La dee da.... Everything goes on as mundane life continues. Hardly went to the gym. It's most of the time work, work, work. Tu je. sibeh sien....ok la not so sien. Went for another skoolmate wedding (aiyoh....CAN ALL Of you stop marrying ady ar? dem expensive ok? haf to give angpow.....pokai arrrr...hehheh joking joking...)



End of June - like u had read in the recent post...a skoolmate passed away. When I attended the funeral that time I was still sober, thought I'd drive some mates there just in case they can't drive. Reached there still ok.... After the eulogy bla bla bla, went to pay our FINAL respect that time, I teared ok.... Realised BIG Time that I will NOT see this face EVER. Her friendly smile, her laughs, her voice..... R.I.P Sel... we will miss you dearly.

So what has the first half taught me ? To take chances, value life and people around you... Find time to do what you love the most...

Because life is such.... It's very unpredictable (unless you're God or you haf a peek at the Book of Death bla bla bla...but that just means that u will worry about preparations for your death...right?or be very conscious about what u do on earth...)

Here's wishing one and all a MUCH BETTER 2nd Half of Year 2007.

It's Thursday!!!

Two freaking Thursdays in a row worked a 12hour shift... (ok of course I had my lunch hour and breaks in between)

But....seriously... STILL ???


Anyways, not so much in a hyper mode, even some other colleagues could feel it... Usually I'm the one smirking or smiling or kacau them but this week they must be thinking I haf PMS or something....

Got home decided I had too much carbo...(pasta late night yday, this morning breakfast, rice+potatoes lunch time, some bread during break...)

Came home, saw a mango missing from the box... Quickly checked in the fridge n see if dear old Daddy sliced them up nicely.... Eh ?? not in tupperware... (that means didn't cut... Or cut edi and they walloped it) ok lor.... sigh.... hmmm wat shud I haf....

Ohhhhhhhhh there's the nyonya zhang that god-ma made... Errrr... Buthen horrr it's carb oso... hmmmmm

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH Got tiramisu kek... nyek nyek nyek.... *pray that it hasn't gone bad*
WAHHHHHHHH Nice lehhhhh....hmmm now I KNOW the trick is to get 'em and keep 'em in the fridge coupla days...
Then sibuks check the fridge for some fruits, AHA.... ehhhhhhh Dad had kept the mango in the fridge... YIPPEEEE Cold mango... mmmmmmmmm cepat cepat cut it up.... Mmmmmmmmmm....

Crazy Monday...

Only slept barely 5hours...

Actually woke up feeling wanted to get back to sleep and shut the world out. But you can't do that can u? NEVER....

Really no mood to go to work lehhhh how??? aih.mandi n drove....

On the way to work some friends already in ofis. Had read my breaking of sad news. Called/sms-ed. It's like for a while I'm the headquarters... ahahaha!!! WIf only me manning the station. My boss was prolly still sleeping, so I didn't haf any news of funeral arrangement yet.

Reached office, I started work immediately. Stress level activated. AFter that, peeked at my phone and found that I had 5missed calls, 3sms.wah liao my line has never been so busy before... And not for a very happy occasion summore lehz :s

After office hours got to breathe a bit and then the funeral things are set. I'm thankful I'm mates wif a bunch of very nice people from skool who circulated the info.(not like some nasty people that I've met the past 3years) At one email, there was Sel's pic as well. I teared ..... Will miss seeing her...........

Us bunch are FINALLY meeting up after a long time... just this time not so much of giggling. Plz pray for all of us... for babe who we all predict will be crying... for losing a sweet thing at such a young age........

About two hours ago a babe called up. I tot she was gonna call me n screw me ady...Cos we high skool mates 'were' supposed to meet up for some lunch or something over the weekend.

So i had my cheerful HELLOOOOOOOO on.... but she went... wei...XX ah...
then my heart sank. eh... she usualli dun sound soooooooooo duh one wor.... so I asked ler... eh...what happened?

Then my CNN instinct took over. I sms-ed our other friends and the next half hour I was bombarded plaks wif replies and calls asking me. All I know is that she's dead.Details of wake/funeral later...
Got back out of room to start mailing the rest....

Why the weekend fly so dem fast one ar? bleagh!


After Combat class... Carik makan lar... keke! lepaked wif some gym mates at this mamak which served not bad nasi lemak.

Went home, tried to unwind a bit.. Wah!!! Knot sleep la... Panas nyer the night. tossed n turn.

Nex morning... pagi pagi kena woken up ady.... Some nice company wanted to go eat nasi lemak. ok lor. Lucky thing no long long queue like the first time I went.

Managed to go for a Combat class(unfortunately the slot was replaced by another instructor yang x kenal one...) and survived the whole class. Wahoo!

Afternoon went for Just Heavenly soft launch in Damansara Heights. Wah!!! the stuff they sell.. Superb... I tried the Chocolate Durian. IT'S DA BOMB!!!!!

Came home... Slow n easy Sat night. Spent the evening watching some Jackie Chan show w siblings, then late dinner at one of our fave spots in Sunway. One fish, phai kuat, 2veg for RM 56. ok maaa horr ???

Came back... Late night again. Couldn't sleep til 3.40am. #$%!&$ basket.... so darn hot.

Lack of sleep this weekend. Hope I dun end up grouchy mouchy during the week.... Lots to do coming week.

nothing much on....

Been a pretty non-eventful week... All I did was shuttling work-home....
The one n only day got off work sharp on Wednesday, when the cat was away. kekeke!!! EH.... I'm not the ONLY one lar... Semua pun cabuts, takkan I bodo bodo stay on mehhh???

So I pun cabutsssssss lar... and rushed for my Combat class... heheh which I reached halfway in the class (which the instructor made a mention of thks for making it today) phew!
But it was powerrrrrrr.... Haf u tried the new release...?? 3songs and you're sweating liao.I'm beginning to like the second half of the release... hehe!!!!
But hor, haf to be careful lar... when executing the moves. Hurt my knee. Had to walk sideways down the stairs.

Fast forward. Thursday was like.... flew... worked 12hours. mati onot? Come bek, no makanan, so just whip up this meehoon soup wif veggies (thankfully the day before made a pit stop to buy some veg)

Today oso stayed back a bit. Then by the time cabuts, a bit zonked out but made it for the second half again.. eheheh! The same instructor was like... WAH piang u really know the right time to come in eh? (skipping the not nice songs... akakaka!) But today I tried to stay back to do the conditioning track... goshhhhh That's a good butt workout man... sweat was DRIPPING I'm not joking.
Can't wait to do it again over the weekend... I need to sweat all the stress out..

I had said I got English test.

ahhhhhhhh..... Those who can remember.... Give yourself a pat on the back.

OK lar it was this short 5weeks course called Effective Business Correspondence. At the 6th week, we are given a test. THIS morning was the day.

Last night, was feeling so the duh about things at work la.... so I ended up just bringing the notes back home n not reading it at all....

Fast forward, Woke up... i was like... D.I.E!!!! never revised last night.....erk!reach ofis, faster faster rush some work out, then 10minutes flip through the notes... wah! tension dy, was even shivering. aiyoyo...how la like this... flunk means...sure kena one....

sharp sharp 9.30, the trainer called edi. GULP!!!! Ok... tutup buku, murid murid...March to the room for test.

First, we is given an Evaluation Form... evaluate lar...what we think of the course bla bla bla... I was like... AIYOOOOO.... People just hafal the thing for test, here they ask to fill out evaluation form. Ish....I had a brief look and just wanted to get on wif my paper (kiasu case...I sked all that I've memorized this morning fade away ma.... FAIL howwwww???)
got the paper. HUWARGHHHHHHHH Ask for definition.... sei for.... (I didn't hafal this one...) arghhhhhhh tembak katak.... Then the invigilator say .... use the dictionaryyy. Then I was like... apa lar.... use dict for what? Then it DAWNED UPON Me ... but then no nid oso ler... since by then I oredi filled up and it's like near near correct.... Ok lor...

Then...Haf to write essay.... haiyo. sei for...

OK LA.... They give option oso. Phew. I was the only one who chose Option 2... The rest chose Option 1 & 3.

Do... pass up. ahhhhh a bit the lega lar. Had a nice lunch wif colleagues. *hope n pray the results are ok....*

Back from lunch. too busy to chase for the marks.... Do Do Do... then one batchmate called.... Eh.. What's your score. I was like... Hah? out dy ar??? ohhhhh faster faster go n see.... Oooooo.....

Trip to Klang's little India

Was over at pal's place.... then chit chat they ask if i'm going for the wedding wearing a saree or punjabi suit.... adoih... I dun own one ....eerks... (summore call myself muhibbah!)

So anyways, was at work today and then I asked some colleagues la... There's this young lady... Intro-ed me to Klang's little India.... Uhhh huhhhh...I know that place but haf never stepped foot on it before. So after work took a drive into Klang town (I miss this place..) and then I reached Jalan Tengku Ampuan Rahimah (seems as though everything is named TAR)

Found the shop... Sri Rasi ...Okay...Not to find parking.... Missed the turning... so at the traffic light I turned mana tau it's one whole big round....

OK Found my parking. Woo Hoo!!!! just right in front of a place called Madura cash n carry (macam kopikat jer....) ok... Shut the engine off, open the door... Fuahhhhhhhhh!!! Caught a WHIFF of the very Indian smell..... the WHOLE area smells like this ok??? eerrrrr... Okay... Braved myself...Walked across the street to the shop.

kennotlar.... THIS PLACE mia size is onli for kicik miao .. Not for DINOSAURS like me... arghhh!!!! disappointed.. I left la.... Walked across wanted to get back into the car ady, but then i thought...since I'm already here, might as well explore... And this Madura place... Has like 3/4shops sprouting there...hmmmmm ok lar walked into one...It only sells accessories... errr...So not my kinda thingy. Walked into another one coupla doors away, they SELL mostly everything that's made in India.... or watever India capital here la. ANd the whole shop smells of the Indian spices...After a while I oso pening lalat ady... Was quite disappointed cos I was there n not spent a single cent....

Walked out, dejected, I decided to peep into an eatery...oooohh it's like a mamak, but then it's a classic Indian shop in the sense outside they proudly display the Indian sweets... hmmmm... I'm not a fan of Indian candy...but anyhows... see see see...errr...No...No.... eh ?? apa tu wrapped in those hamper paper....
Called the waiter.. He came over n I asked what's THAT??

So fast one month liao. Pal's kiddo's one month plus... So yday they came over to deliver jam tarts.. hehe! so kiuttttt lar the pic. I didn't get to see the kiddo. was drinking milk from the mummy's milk bar.

Anyways. It's alwiz nice to chat wif them. Too bad it was a brief time. They had to go home n I had my drebar waiting for me to do delivery... hehe!

Last night another attempt at fried mee hoon... hmmm... Somehow it doesn't turn out nicely like mom's despite the fact I put everything that she puts in.... arghhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Yday was out again wearing pink. And then my pals were like.... Haaaaaaaa she's wearing her fave colour again... hahahah!!!! I *hope* they notice that it's a different shade of pink and that I haf many many other shirts in pink.

Amma Home!!!!!!

Went off to check out something wif matey this morning.... moment I saw it I was like... EHHHHH.... Nice!!!!!!!!!! :))))

hahahahaha!!! We both click in similar ways... Just like the other day we were at this Ramen shop... *psst - YOU HAF TO CHECK THAT PLACE OUT* this place is in Sunway Pyramid lower ground floor same floor as Bread Story/Secret Recipe.

CHUNNNNNNNN arrrr the ramen there. I particularly love the soupy ramen wif corn... kekekek! Matey said the same thing. Then we looked and each other n laughed....both of us chuckle when we see something we both like, particularly when we hang out together.

Luckily we dun really go for the same kinda guys... habis la like that *psst....Mom/Sis...there's still hope in me ok... kekekekekke!!!!!*

5 Imp lessons

Five (5) lessons to make you think about the way we treat people.

1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady.
During my second month of college, our professor Gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one: "What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?" Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how would I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank. Just before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our quiz grade. "Absolutely," said the professor. "In your careers, you will meet many people. All are significant. They deserve your attention and care, even if all you do is smile and say "hello." I've never forgotten that lesson. I also learned her name was Dorothy.

2. - Second Important Lesson - Pickup in the Rain
One night, at 11:30 p.m., an older African American woman was standing on the side of an Alabama highway trying to endure a lashing rainstorm. Her car had broken down and she desperately needed a ride. Soaking wet, she decided to flag down the next car. A young white man stopped to help her, generally unheard of in those conflict-filled 1960s. The man took her to safety, helped her get assistance, and put her into a taxicab. She seemed to be in a big hurry, but wrote down his address and thanked him. Seven days went by and a knock came on the man's door. To his surprise, a giant console color TV was delivered to his home. A special note was attached.. It read: "Thank you so much for assisting me on the highway the other night. The rain drenched not only my clothes, but also my spirits. Then you came along. Because of you, I was able to make it to my dying husband's bedside just before he passed away... God bless you for helping me and unselfishly serving others." Sincerely, Mrs. Nat King Cole.

3 - Third Important Lesson - Always remember those who serve.
In the days when an ice cream sundae cost much less, a 10-year-old boy entered a hotel coffee shop and sat at a table. A waitress put a glass of water in front of him. "How much is an ice cream sundae?" he asked. "Fifty cents," replied the waitress. The little boy pulled is hand out of his pocket and studied the coins in it. "Well, how much is a plain dish of ice cream?" he inquired. By now more people were waiting for a table and the waitress was growing impatient. "Thirty-five cents," she brusquely replied. The little boy again counted his coins. "I'll have the plain ice cream," he said. The waitress brought the ice cream, put the bill on the table and walked away. The boy finished the ice cream, paid the cashier and left. When the waitress came back, she began to cry as she wiped down the table. There, placed neatly beside the empty dish, were two nickels and five pennies.. You see, he couldn't have the sundae, because he had to have enough left to leave her a tip.

4 - Fourth Important Lesson. - The obstacle in Our Path.
In ancient times, a King had a boulder placed on a roadway. Then he hid himself and watched to see if anyone would remove the huge rock. Some of the king's wealthiest merchants and courtiers came by and simply walked around it. Many loudly blamed the King for not keeping the roads clear, but none did anything about getting the stone out of the way.
Then a peasant came along carrying a load of vegetables. Upon approaching the boulder, the peasant laid down his burden and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. After much pushing and straining, he finally succeeded. After the peasant picked up his load of vegetables, he noticed a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The purse contained many gold coins and a note from the King indicating that the gold was for the person who removed the boulder from the roadway. The peasant learned what many of us never understand! Every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

5 - Fifth Important Lesson - Giving When it Counts...
Many years ago, when I worked as a volunteer at a hospital, I got to know a little girl named Liz who was suffering from a rare & serious disease. Her only chance of recovery appeared to be a blood transfusion from her 5-year old brother, who had miraculously survived the same disease and had developed the antibodies needed to combat the illness. The doctor explained the situation to her little brother, and asked the little boy if he would be willing to give his blood to his sister. I saw him hesitate for only a moment before taking a deep breath and saying, "Yes I'll do it if it will save her." As the transfusion progressed, he lay in bed next to his sister and smiled, as we all did, seeing the color returning to her cheek. Then his face grew pale and his smile faded. He looked up at the doctor and asked with a trembling voice, "Will I start to die right away". Being young, the little boy had misunderstood the doctor; he thought he was going to have to give his sister all of his blood in order to save her.

A coupla months back a pal sent this email to me... So I cepat cepat store this number. (are you ready??? The number is..... zero three - two two six two seven five five five) Never know lar... Just in case kan... what harm can it do ???

So .... Two weeks ago, I was on the way home from work... ard 7-ish, 8pm... and then... when I reach a particular area, fulamakkkkkkkk smoke.... looks like Genting/Cameron...but the smell.. Wah... Gerenti u live like this for two weeks u get cancer.... Anyways... I was like... wtf!!!
Okay... the next day... AGAIN... Smoke... arghhhhhhh who the heck is burning?? of cos kennot see lar right.... so dark ady...

Pal called and I was driving halfway (talking to her using handsfree ok???), then I suddenly say... Wah lauuuuuuuuu smoke... from nex to the highway....coff coff cofffff
Then pal said... ahhh... Someone having bbq.
siao woman....so I said.. Yah... bbq wat? Babi hutan issit?

I called again earlier this week to that number... This time 2rings someone picked up. Then i told the officer lar... eh Encik arr... last week I repot bla bla bla bla bla (conversation was done in Bahasa MALAYSIA cos 1. that guy converse better in that language, 2.I wanted to check out my BM still can use onot, 3.I'M MALAYSIAN...And that's my language...)
Anyways... 3minutes talking to him and explaining exactly which kilometres like 3times, he was like... ok... uh huh, ok.... Then I asked for his name and hung up.

I was exiting the highway ady.. Suddenly phone rings from a landed number.

U ever tried the wat....protein bar or health food bar onot?

Well, I'm not a keen believer in it lar. One bar can substitute lunch ar? cheyyyy... Might as well drink like 3litres of water...Sure full kau kau one... Anyways, a while ago, sis bought this one brand (can't remember it) wif apple n cinnamon flavour one... *tingggg* one of my fave things... Ok So since she offered I ngap one paket lar. Inside got two bars... I was more like thinking it's for snack/dessert lar... So come 4 o'clock tea break time, I went n bukak the packet... It's one long bar ard 15cm... and it's quite hard to break... Aiyak... How to chew? If chew means sure berkecai and then the whole area will be messy lor....

After a horrible horrible messed up Monday, I had a great mix during lunch. Most of my fave dishes... keke! Rice wif pumpkin... mmmmm, french beans, siew pak choy n bittergourd wif chicken. Nyummmmmyyyyy!!!!

The weekend's been great in a way. I've kinda forgotten how much I missed eating... wahahaha!!! Yeah... It's been quite sometime since I've enjoyed food this much....

Sat stayed the whole morning/afternoon at home, then semangat go n make juice wif that new juice maker parents bought, then off to dinner in a quaint lil place in SS2. Da bomb lar the food there. Tried snapping pics of where it is but then the pic didn't turn out well. bleh. It's in SS2/103. called Wang Chiew. CHUNNNNNNN!!!!!!
Even had wine... hehehhe!!! Wasn't mabuk, phew. nice wine by matey... hehe!

Came home, zzzz nicely lar wat else... Then ard lunch time went to Pudu area for what u know...?? Siew YUk... CHUNNNNNNNNNEST arrrrrr... my sis been raving about it during dinner earlier.. kakakakak!!!! Psst... cuz - we took pics... I send to you??? wahahahhah!!!!ok lar ok lar. u come back v bring u there...

Dinner was CHUN oso.... was to celebrate godpa's birthday. met our cutie pies... *melt* heheheh!!! chun arrr the food.. but then I usually haf contractor on my table one. Our table sure not enough food sapu everything geh. Cake was NYUM Strawberry shortcake from Bakerzin. mmmmmmmmmm....

Towards the end managed to play wif the kiddos... OK lar I can still play wif them geh... kekekeke!!! Play until semua tak mau balik. Geng onot (ok...I'm so-not-gonna run a childcare centre ok??? u can ask my mom for help if u wanna deal wif kiddos)
