New Year's eve!

It's the last day of the year oredi....
Hmmmmmmm I had just sent out emails to friends and families, it's the customary thingy to do lar.... and yeah... dunno why leh... The last coupla days of the year people tend to do reflection, and start looking forward to the new year (for bigger and better things to come)

This year -
cons- spiritually, mentally veri exhaustive. I nid to go back to simplicity and live life in a humble abode (yah right... we'll see how I can keep up wif that lah..)
PROS- has been good for me in the sense that... I've FINALLY done blogging. Last night was chatting wif my sis and said that... whoa not bad within 7months of blogging I did 290 post... Not a bad ffeat. I'm not boasting lar.. just thought... heyyyy ok lar I can still crap.. lolx. (poor frens who read them...)
Managed to get along so well wif some friends that we're comfy talking about anything under the sun sea and watever else you can imagine. *salut* to those friends. I love you from thebottom of my heart.
Spent time enuff in the gym, and also managed some time wif family members. adorable cutie pies wif extended family....my nephews..heheheh!!!!!
Took time away to be alone and a lot of reflection times. (most of them manifested here in ma blog if you noticed... lolx)

Okie dokes, cheerio... Gonna do a compilation if possible... of bloggers who haf blogged their NY Reso!

Wow Ive ABANDONED my blog since Christmas? Ishhhhhhh ... tak patutttt!!! So sorri bloggy! so sorri readers who clicked n clicked.. lolx.
I been busy lar... took leave since 22nd, then one whole ching bang of relatives came Monday. Tues spent the entire day wif them. If you saw a old girl trying to have fun in Times Square indoor theme park... IT WAS ME IT WAS ME... Muahahahhahaha!!!!!

Wednesday could hardly drag meself out of bed man.. guess when ur adrenalin's pumping hard you forget your age. hahaha!!!! still not in the mood to work yesterday.. but survived, and then met up wif 3frens for mamak. Bloody hell the rice,prawn (small prawn sambal),veg,mutton curry cost me RM 7.50... I WILL VOW NEVER TO GO TO NASI KANDAR SHOPS UNLESS SOMEONE ELSE'S PAYING FOR MY FOOD....
Today... since it's Thursday ... nice weather and all... wuz good lar. I managed to go for my Combat lunch time class.. yippeee... didn't just go for 3tracks.. lolx. then a lunch quickie and ran errands.....

Am off to da gym, again..... supposedly for my Steps class, but wonder if can make it on time... think think... do the Combat class oni lar.....going there to meet some other gym mates!

Had a wonderful birthday this year. Spanning five days... some of you already started wishing me from 20th Dec til the latest wif someone calling me at 12.40am, 24th Dec.... wow! hahahah!

Had a great day... very veryy relaxed. Tried not to think about work. FINALLY got to see my cutie pie nephew Ivan. and his mom...and his little bro Isaac. played wif Ivan a while and was already sweating.After that thought...ok lar, haf to finish the work out so rushed to gym for cool down.. lolx.
Showered and then lunch wif one whole kampung. lolx....was nice! then tea wif a pal at Parade. Dinner wif family and close family friends at (where else) Lake View club lar.After dinner karaokay-ed and played pool!

a day at the post office

So I was at a post office somewhere last...Tuesday...... It's the mad mad christmas greeting cards rush...
hehehe!

Am a regular at the post office, so the guy saw me and waved at me... ehehe! I was the next one. Ok so it was my turn liao..... handed the guy a stack of christmas cards...he took quite a while to do so, and then the guy behind me was like a bit the impatient, so...being a typical Malaysian that day, I apologised for taking so long...He was like....showed me this fake smile and said.... It's okayyyyyyyy.....not ur fault...After that, he was whispering to his gf that the people are so inefficient... can see that he spent quite a number of years abroad lar...by his pissed off tone...

So after that I got my stamps and gleefully hid at the corner and started pasting them on the envelopes. After chucking them in the box, I saw that there was no line. Wheeeeee!!! So I quickly went to the stamp counter again and bought summore stamps

Ever wondered...if you're a native Chinese/Indian... that you can't speak very well/can't utter a single word of your mother tongue?
Well, I'm one of them... 'bananas' who can't comprehend it if you speak complixated Mandarin... I will look at you as if I was raised in the Bahamas. (or somewhere exotic... mmmmmmm)
Anyways.....

There was this Chinese national. He was like.... 6'2.... and he was speaking to me in Mandarin... I was at one point... damn malufied lar... cos I oni half understood what he meant..... Then I look squarely at his eyes and shrug...'Yo! haf no idea what you're talking' So he went... OH! then proceeded to spik in his broken English as best as he could.... He wanted to send some post back to China via registered post and Asked me to ask the guy.. Heck.. that fello was counting my stamps la.... *(yeah I bought quite a lot... more than RM 100 worth of stamps*
So he was like staring expectantly at me ... so i obliged and interrupted the stamp guy. He kinda read me and told me in malay to just leave him alone and ask him to ber sabar... lolx... ada ke patut... so I look back at Chinese guy and said... Wait. He thought I hadn't ask... laaaaaaa... wanna become a Samaritan oso kena....
After that, he struggled to ask me some other question, which I didn't understand... then he asked where to line up for the stamps, I told him u haf to queue..he didn't understand, so he went to another corner... ishhhhhhhh
then 3min later he came back to the stamps.. He must've stood at another corner looking like an idiot... I was still there the guy hadn't finish sorting out my stamps.. heheheh!Yah.bought a lot lar...
Then I asked him if he orady got wat he wanted, and proceeded to explain he has to get in line, he refused to listen to me and just said....
NEMIND...IT'S OK.THANK YOUUU (SARcastically!*

I WAS like.... ok....U'RE WELCOME... Phooeyyyyy

Then I was talking to a fren on the phone relating the incident to her.....
Wahhh she can ask me question like... errrrrrrr Eh but you Chinese worrrr

LOOK, Dude!!! i KNOW i'm chinese... and I SHUD know how to speak Mandarin etcetc....
But has it ever crossed your minds that... Eh... I've been born and raised in Malaysia all my life (contrary to my imaginations that I'd love the Bahamas...Or Hawaii....or some other exotic places...)
I CAN STILL GO TO PLACES and order food....or get around......Whilst this fler has prolly spent like 3/4months here... and he can't get his message across to the local guy.....

Yday was a bit too much lar... I was so tensed up... Imagine lar..toook leave on Wed ady, but still haf to go back office. Cis bedebah tul....

This week I had some realli sweet frens sms-ing me....
Vadai sent a message to wish me 'NITE GORGEOUS'... mmmm I love him la.. he's so sweet...

hectic Wednesday....

It's been a hectic Wednesday for me. So unlike wat I planned for lar....Wat a 'leave'....
I went for a Combat class at 8.30, (ohhhhhhhhh that was quite nice lar.... miss that class!)

I was a bit disillusioned... ??? no.. more like stressed out cos there were like....5calls regarding work. Ughhhhh!!!!

went to office ard 3, got stuck there for like TWO hours... ishhhhhhhhhhh

After this gotta head off to dinner wif da family....

me pal birthday!

Woke up at ard 6.30am... this is weird.... I dun usualli wake up so earli on a public holiday. Oh yeah...Those working in Selangor had that privilege today. to commemorate Sultan of Selangor's Birthday.

rolled around... contemplated to doing some workout from home. (I've been a lazy pug...not going to the gym since last Friday... die lar..)

but ended up lazing in bed... lol....til ard 9.40. Went out for some breakfast wif the whole family, then off I headed down to KL to do some banking. Phwoarrrrrr the jam along Old Klang road.... horrendous lah........ terukssss Good Thing I parked across the road and took a 15mins walk (hmmm... is that considered exercise ar.... hahahah!!!!)

Had to go back to that horrendous place again in the afternoon....
I rushed back to SS2 to haf a nice lunch wif 3 other gal pals, celebrating a birthday. Nice foood.... Tanjung Bungah. same row as Cheow Yang. checkitout lar... Will be posting pics in foodyumz soon.

After that, back to the bank again. Wahhh trafiic seems like it hasn't subsided.... managed to cut my walking time this time round. Made it just in time before closing.. ehehehhe!

After that, went back to fren's place to resume catching up. Managed to play a game of Scrabble w fren n mom which I haven't played for 4months.. wah liaooo!!!!
Scoring was lousy lah.... and then another fren pop by and we continued chatting....

Wahhhhh tiring... I need to clean me room after this... bleaghhhh!!!!!

My first facial session

What a mad mad day!!!!

A mix of sadness, and also busy day. Good thing no time to think of any mou liu stuff...

Woke up quite bright n early... Like ... 7am... siao-ness lar... But then after that, lazed around a bit.

10am I left home for facial. YES! Funny, for a 'gal' like me who never bothered about the facial stuff, I fell for the 'cheap' facial treatment my dear gal pal promoted like crazy... Heck, it was RM 48 she said... ok lor....
Reached there, did the facial thingy.... galfren warned that it was gonna be super hot when they steam your face. Bleagh... steam ??? okayyyyy.....
Ok lar the steam wasn't soooo bad.... mebbe the lady didn't like put the machine that emit steam sooooooooo near to my face.... After that, she started picking out the blackheads and wat nots lar.... FUlamakkkkkkkkkkk I was like.... waaaaaaaaaa!!!! I so nid her to stop... But I hung in there!!! and survived... inside I was thinking ... die lar... sure koyak one... my whole face will be reddddddened.....erkkkkk
Okay that torture was probably like half an hour.... ok lar... FINALLY..... then she showed me the amount of 'gold' she managed to scrape... lolx... (ya lar... it's yellowish in colour maaaa) ROFLOL... ehhhhhhhh trying to be as descriptive here ma....so next time u know what to expect if you're going for your first facial.
Ok after that she go and apply the toner la... moisturiser lar.... then she gone out for a while. I was like.. errrrrrrrrrrrr anymore things or not?? oh yeah after that she came back in.....wif some 3-in-1 mask. it was cold cold one... kewl!!!!! but the smell.. err ok ok oni la.....b.e.a.r.a.b.l.e!
After that she came left me alone (in the cold dark room) to rest. hmmmm phew lucky she gave me another towel to cover my already near frozen shoulders. ok... so I rested lar...wat else to do when u haf the mask on you.... Then take in the ...watever Zen music that they turned out (hollibel taste in music)
Anyways.... 15minutes she comes back and blabber somethings in Mandarin... I was like... errrrrr.... another beautician izzit?? she rambled for like 5sentences and then I had to stop her and say I dun understand (what a Chinese!!!!) sighhhhhhhhh...... classik lar...
After that she apologized and rambled in cantonese.... bleaghhhhhhh so it was done... the facial mask... after that she massaged my face. Ummm.. it was... ok lar... not too bad!!! even my neck, and a bit of my shoulder blade... Mmmmmmm but it was a bit difficult to massage your back when u're lying on it.. nemind lar...
So then last step - one more layer of toner n moisturiser, and then some ... sunblock thingy lar... i dunno for wat.
Then sit up and loosen my back... my shoulder, thank goodness, not stiff.

ANd then I was left alone to dress up and I was aghast... My hair was soooooooooo horrible, worst than when I get up in the morning. Yearghhhhhhhh SOMEONE TELL ME how the heck am I gonna go out of this room like this lar... Aaaarrrggghhhhh!!! no comb, no nothing....
TIP: Make sure u bring a comb... or some gel or something......

So I had to go out, and they asked if I'd like to go pee or something. Hell Yeah I nid to go to the toilet to hide meself from the fugly hair... arghhhhhhh I HATE MY HAIR Laaaaaaaa.... nid a haircut baaaaaaaaadly!!!!
So was stuck there trying desperately to fix it, then my gal pal called out... yoooo hoooo you in there!??? so i came out. Luckily it didn't kill her by laughing too hard. she was more interested in how my facial went, then her turn to pee,
I walked out, got summoned into the 'consultation room' oh oh.... it's not a quickie is this?? They will exprain the whole thing againnnnnnnnnn and try to exprain their promotion of the 'week'
This week's promotion is a RM788 (valued at RM 1360 usually) of facial cleanser set. Luckily I was strong willed enuff not to be fooled into this....

The thing is, if you buy this sorta thing... U may tend to forget about using them...
why? 1... cos u're not used to this set,
2. it's too much offa hassle lar... imagine it'll take you like... more than half an hour to do that... aiyaaaa later lar when I think my face is getting worst or if it's peeling off your face then oni do something about it lar... heheheh!!!!

So we paid and chiaoz.....

Ok not exactly the time I wanna be up.... I shudn't be up til much much later, after my 9am mark... but the thing is, slept darn earli last nite... I think I slept in ard ... somewhere before 11pm last night. Siao... how can this be? I forgot totally to call back me pal to chat wif her... was her birthday yesterday. SHUCKS!!! *Thwack in the head...*
Anyways, woke up this morning, came online, dear fren's sis who's studying in UK decided to splurge a bit and call... so we chatted lar.
nice lar to haf her call in. hehehehe!

I.nid.summore.sleep..... then gotta be out for some facial appointment before noon. I was telling me pal... WHY??? WHY SO early on a Saturday... bleaghhhhhhhh.... Viewtru is prolly out wif HotBabe now already... hehe!
Thing is, me pal says we shud maximise our day since we're free.. I'm like... errrrr.. I'm maximising my time oso..... IN BED lazing... yeah maaaaaaaa....
HOW we can get along, I dunno lar.... hahheehhehe but she's a gem. I love her.. hehe!

so that's it lar... today just the facial appointment, unless... I decide to go disturb Auds and her family spending quality time together... hahahah!
Tomorrow's Joel's 1st birthday, so will head over there tomolo evening n catch up wif some friends...

I dunno where it came from...either overstraining myself, or cos the mean time of the month is here, or... Dunno lar... Thanks so much to my me dear dear pal who called my good ole sis to make sure I eat and take the medicine. Love them to bits.

Had to lie down til about 11... my goshhhhh felt so horrible la.... like... I'm awake but can't move anywheres.... s.h.i.t.e!!!!

In the afternoon however, went back in office to sort out some paperwork, and then off to meet Auds n hubby who arrived in the morning from London (they work there). Wahhhhhhh it's been more than a year since they came back, but it;s like... ok lar... I talk on msn wif Auds so often... hardly seemed like we've been apart for so long.

Ok lar... nothing much to report liao ... I nid sleep.... nities!!!

Last night...

Whoa! what a wacky night... crazy man.... first time in a long time to head down to KL for some fun...

After work ard 7, went down to KL beach club to hang out wif some IRC pals...Haven't met some of them before... Am tired mentally and physically, but okay lar...

It was nice to meet some new nice people lor...
new guy fren was soooooooo nice, making sure we had our drinks and at one point, offered to get me some warm water as I was freezing (air con blowing directly at me)
When I said I wanted to go, he told me to drive safely and just 10mins later sms me to say 'Gorgeous, nice to haf met you. I've an itsy bitsy teeny weeny request - SMS me when you get back'
Wahhhhhhhhhhh super 'lammmm' him man..... VADAI -You're da man... love ya!!!!

So rushed to fren mom place in Old Klang Road.was offered homegrown rambutans. wah sedapssssssssss!!! chit chatted lor... lolx.

So after that, left their place ard 12.15, a bit the half dead, but still can drive ... Phew!!!
Halfway, got gym mate sms... Laaaaaaaaaa kesian bag kena curiiii, she was soooo distraught, can hear she been crying the whole night... I feel bad for her, but what can I say or do? Just told her lar.... wat to do...IC/Driving license, go n apply for new gym membership card... etc etc... liddat lor...Was on the phone for like 25mins wif her. After that, a bit drained out dy... but was hungry, and aunt orady kept some food n soup for me.Reheat the food while went to take shower.
wah food never tasted so good, although on normal days, the dish is one of me fave..lean pork chop wif some soy sauce.,mmmmmmm, and egg omelette wif long beans, and carrots soup. Didn't overeat lar as nid to sleep, but my tummy was like gonna protest dy.....
After that, rested for like 10minutes, then decide to come online lar... to check emails pertaining my Penang trip next weekend and ask cousin wat movies she wanna watch when she's down from Singapore Christmas weekend....

Am off to see the doctor now to get some other med for this bad bad headache i had... Orady taken panadol and another viagra looking med but nothing works....

Well, from the day you were conceived, your parents haf been so super excited about you. Mom wud talk to you while you were still in her belly, she wud guide ur Daddy to feel you on her tummy.
The day you were born, . I remember going to the hospital to visit u all.Ur proud Daddy had this GLOW in his face. All I cud do was just watch... I'm not good wif kiddos, u see.....
and chat wif ur mummy n daddy.

Just wanna say that you're one lucky babe, to haf all the love in the world. And being parents sweetie. I hope you won't grow up being a spoilt brat.
May you grow up to haf the same values that your parents were taught of, and may you always be kept in good health and infectious joy.

Can't believe it's da weekend dy... Yayyyyyyyyy Yippity yayyyy!!

Left office oni ard 8.30, arrived the gym wayyyyy wayyyyyyyy late ard 8.50, but managed to sweat bucketts... haha! *without proper warm up summore.... hope the weekend nothing will happen!*
Instructor did a fave track... Partying all da way... kah kah kah

Showered and came home straight away. Flat out man... Flat outttt!!!!

Surprisingly the whole day survived oni on buns... Hmmmm something's wrong somewhere...I might decide to cook some noodles whilst watching the TVB serial later....

This coming weekend's super packed lar...Haf just arranged on the spot to meet up wif dear old Marie my IRC pal, then night time dinner wif some gym mates in Serdang. Sunday lunch wif skoolmate - Japanese buffet (woooott!!!) and night time it's ex-classmate wedding in Klang. Wah liaooooooo.....*pengsan... hahaha!!!* hafn't had sucha schedule in ages. Hope got the stamina... hahahha!!!!

Thank goodness that I've never failed in my weekly column. Yay yay!!!

How've all of you been?

This week has been a personal journey of a special friendship. Never experienced it before. Just thought I'd post a short posthere to remind me of how special that friendship is... and how me and my gal pal will try, no matter how many obstacles that we haf to go through.... We need some wisdom and loads of patience (duhhhhh!!)

It's also World AIDS Day today. I'd forgotten to take my red ribbon and wear it on, (terlewat bangun lar wat else..)
Good thing there was this two ribbons which was on my comp at work, so nicked one and wore it lorrr... Lunch time went for banana leaf rice wif Auds mom... the guys were like staring at why I was wearing the ribbon... DEY IT'S THE RED RIBBON larrrrrrrr... ughhhhhhhhh cam ni pun tak erti... sighhhhhhhhhhhhh

Can't wait for the weekend.... Actualli can't wait to do many many things this December.... Loads of time to spend wif family and friends who're back from abroad.

World AIDS Day

Dec 1, 2005 - World AIDS Day!!! Keep the Promise

First time I heard of this was wayyyyyy back in 1997... I was an ardent listener of Time Highway Radio and they had Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir as the ... woman at helm of the Malaysian AIDS Foundation. (now as a teenager, I had grown accustomed to her Musings column at a local daily and that column was one of my favourite column as she wrote about a wide variety of issues. )
During the programme, they had a call in session and I got through. I can't recall what was the question I asked her, but for that I got my first cheque of RM 50.00 for participating.

Shortly after that, after I finished college, I wanted so much to do some social work and picked learning about HIV/AIDS. The main reason was cos this was like an epidemic and it is one disease that does not discriminate.
Read about all I could (though now if u ask me, I might remember bits and pieces of it...)
and felt like I wanted to help out.
So I got involved in helping out in a conference (and in the process made a lot of good friends) The conference was... Phwoarrrrrrrrr a whole new dimension. Met a lot of different people - academics, doctors, patients... and got to learn bits n pieces about legal aspects, social, bla bla bla.... Realli opened my eyes to how much of effort it has to be to combat something as huge as this. It requires effort from the grassroots to the government.

Just a coupla days ago, I read a blog post about testing for HIV, and I thought to myself... Wat a grim reminder to each of us, that the disease is still at large. Statistics are never true...it's most of the time only the tip of iceberg, but more importantly what can we(normal ordinary citizens) do in our bit to combat this ?? It's not just oh... I don't participate in high risk behaviour....i'm not a drug user.... I think the local NGOs all hope that if only each one of us will take the initiative to learn a bit about what this HIV/AIDS thingy is all about and change most of our perception that people who are HIV positive or AIDS don't deserve to be treated as human, at least 50% of the programme is succeeded....

Coupla months ago I had this conversation wif an aunt.. And she was gonna head overseas for a trip but had not yet packed. Mentioned that she needed to pack towel. I asked watever for since she'll be staying at a hotel, she said she's frightened that the towels may haf been used/tainted with AIDS. I looked at her aghast, and then proceeded to explain that the virus kennot transmit liddat....

WHAT HAF U DONE IN THIS ASPECT ?? Don't wait... it's a huge scale thingy....Someday, someone somewhere u know will haf had it....
