Layer Cake craving!!

On Thursday after work I was craving for Indonesian layer cake. Thanks to bro's friend who brought some over to our place on CNY Day 2....

Circling ard Taipan area and stopped at Berry's. Their layer cake is one of the nicest i've tasted... Walked in, NO layer cake found... :((

Went to Bee's...errr... I dun usually buy their layer cake but a craving is a craving...Walked in... searched high n low for the layer cake, the only thing i see is 7slices on a plate. Wha ???? Asked the staff where's the whole block? SOLD Out....hmph! Bought 3slices @ RM1 each... Needed to complain...Sms to pal again...

me: Bee's saved d day. But hor... Only slices. Bought 3. WHY Everyone also got same craving as me one??

last quarter

Hey! It's d last quarter of the year....

and oni slightly two more months til year end.

Work's been hectic. Today marks ONE year in this company. How time flies. learnt loads, but also disappointed with the mgmt team and a incompetent colleague who's a real nincompoop. Hiring ANY OTHER malaysians wud be so much better.
Yup! Foreigner... who doesnt wanna resign to the fact that she knows nuts. ALWAYS mixing things up.
If I got my way, I'd make her life as miserable as she makes ours...

Home front since cuzzie's back... wat else... Eat lar... she come back for feast...we oso feast together gether ma...
But now she balik kampung... so no big feast. heh!
Heard Jogoya got 50% disc for ladies til Dec.... I'm drooling liao.... see how....

Gym plaks... haf been consistent but last week due to work, only went two days...Monday and Tuesday. Last night went back, suffered kau kau...Did my usual FI's Combat class pushed myself to the max and then followed by new release of Pump. Go check it out. Love the new releases :)

Funnily.... when I post to say I'm taking a hiatus, then frens wud still be stubborn. REALLY hiatus larrrrr...

Ok latest update - mum, cuzzie Wen n baby are back. Been eating non stop. Tonight I decided to be a bit anti social cos my throat's feeling a bit weird. hope it's not a cough what with the Raya and eating feast.
Lemme tell u wat we been having...Thursday dinner was Indian rice at Nirwana's (now if u are a fan of banana leaf, pls pls do not go there...better to go to Kanna's, Sri Paandi's or Grand City in PJ), Friday dinner at our fave hangout in Sunway to celebrate Dad's Bday - was quite a massive feast that one, but never too much...we'd end up polishing it all.
Saturday dinner wif another uncle - chicken rice. Sunday morning brunch BKT - it ain't the Best but convenient lar...near our house.

Other than that been caught up wif work.All of us are Not very happy,particularly with the bitch ard to screw and messes things up, but who gives a damn anyway?(chey...not our biz, not our money...) jz do wat we all can and wat we are being paid to do lah..

Life's a bitch sometimes...We just gotta find alternatives to it.

I been eating lots the last coupla days...If got food journal, the food nutrionist or watchamacalit will pengsan....

Shite... Not much workout... Only thing was Wed & today FI's class, yday 15min MAX workout. aiyoyo,... sei for..

After the pasta fest (it was really yummy). OK I'm not that maniac... Some of the members decided to head off for durians after that... WAAAA.. I wannnn... but then didn't wanna go overboard. heh! Went home, became goody girl teman Dad & Sis for dinner. We decided t0 go to Ampang Yong tau foo... Ordered the set, and (minus bro), we finished every bit of it. Oh ok with the exception of the rice. Both Dad & I 'watched' our diet... didn't finish the rice.... wakakakak!!!

Driving round the curb, sis was asking if I wanted to check out some fruit... Errr... no thkssss... Stay in the car. Then she asked if I wanted gelato.... wakakaka!!! I straight away bukak the pintu... Eh... HOT days here in Msia... tau tak?Thks sis for buying & sharing the gelato...

Ahhhhhhhh Sat evening... I actually loved it...

And now... how to spend d Sunday arr? Sis wants to go watch Mummy (but I'm ok ok oni la...) see how...

After 2days back to back rice for lunch (Mon fried rice, tues nasi lemak putih nyonya, I was again tempted to make it a trio today...

But then I walked into this cafe in Sunway dsara and then they had chicken roulade.
Hmmmm.... not bad worrrr... inside got ham & cheese. Now I'm not a big fan of cheese but of late find that I am quite geared to consume it.

And so it came.... wahhhhhh best nya... I nearly licked the plate clean if not for the 6pairs of eyes watching me.The mushroom gravy was da bomb.

On the way back, saw a cempedak hanging on the end of a van selling goreng pisang... Wah!!!! gersang nya....I stopped and bought two bijik.

heh! that's for tea.Better go bek ady la... haf to make sure I do a full workout after this reporting ;p

The dinner was Great, despite the committee fears of hiccups ;p


Was the only one seated in the table as the rest were helping to run the show. A while later a friend of the couple came by. ok not so lonely.

Bride and her knight looked radiant....

Dinner was served quite fast. Lovely first dish - 5Combo of starters. Next was the shark fin/crabmeat double boiled soup. nyummmmm
After that roast chicken w garlic. and then we had the speeches by couple then the bestman & maid of honour.

Next was the steamed fish.. ok la... Tasted like Steamed Fish.

Now... The Next dish was GREAT... prawns...Deshelled... LOVELY... Managed to save some for maid of honour.

After that was the brocolli/beancurd/abalone/mushroom dish. The beancurd tasted a bit coarse. Other than that it was fine.
Final dish was glutinuous rice. And then dessert - mango sago & some puddings. The mango sago was CHUNNNNN We lapped it up. heheheh!

After that more camwhoring. Couple came up wif the idea of polaroid shots and we took many in the group. Was a nice evening. I certainly had fun.

Now am heading to bed... Had a bit to drink. *hic* Nite peeps!

cos... Yday I went for Combat and coupla tracks in Pump... lolz...
I was contemplating to just go there for a walk on the treadmill. Maklum la... Mondays are haywire days in the office.


Yesterday the same.. I oni had lunch at 4pm ok? bleh! Went to my fave cosy cafe in a snug corner in Dsara Jaya - Bon Bon for lunch. On the way there had pre-ordered my fish & chips. Of course, being a regular there has an advantage lah.. they know my name ma... ekekkeke!!

So the owner there was asking nice onot the fish & chips ? errr... taste like fish la.. lolz... I had wanted my fave honey yoghurt/rosemary chic.. but opted for the 'heathier' fish meal..

Came out unharmed... I didn't fall for the banana crumble.. kekekeke!!!

Quickly rush off and left office as rain was starting. I missed the dog feeding sessions.. dem!

Got into gym 10mins before d Combat class. Didn't really miss the gym cos it's not my regular hangout place..Proceeded to changing room, changed and did the class.

Dunno if i was doing it right.. lolz. kept staring at d instructor n checking my pose.Survived 1,2,3, then it was clean n press. Erk the bloody track that'd make me winch n look stupid. Decided for a break before the back is dead.

Got home in one piece, albeit being sore all over.

Week's diet

Not really fantastic food... I remember lunch has not been that superb la... been working and going out for late lunches, which is not what I usually do cos I'm a lunch person.

Colleague asks me why I don't go sharp... so clever... ask her to do my job la...

Good thing is got dinner at home. Loved d dinner last night wif cabbage, and more cabbage ;p and femes hokkien dish juu huu char by dearest Gee Khim. hehehe!!! Had heaps of those and only took scraps of meat (so nice kept the drumstick for bro..)

Tonight quite the good leh... Sis and I shared a serving of Nasi Pattaya... geng mou? ahahahha!!! But I had more veg, Went n blanched the choy sum n had that w d rice. Nyummm!!!

wonder what's in store for lunch n dinner tomolo.. ehehehe!!!

Gosh! Now doing food review HERE..hehe!

The other day pal recommended this Japanese restaurant Sumo in Subang Biz Centre. I've heard of it but not gone in there.

So one fine day just decide to check out that place, plus satisfy my Jap food craving lah.

I must say, I love this place already.We walked in and as a typical Jap restaurant wud be, waiters say hello and one ushers you to the table. Had a look at the menu, cudnt decide wat to order so called pal. She eats the saba set. eeks... I'm not really a fan of saba. I stuck wif the salmon teriyaki set. hmmmm NOT disappointed. Nice!

After that, tried an avocado unagi sushi. NICE NICE!

Two plus points are the waitress serving us was VERY service friendly...helped recommend food (shows she was given training) as well as kept topping up our green tea. Princess who went wif me also commented that the toilet is clean.thumbs up for this place.

It's the same row as La Cocina (another lovely place to wine n dine).If u STILL dunno how to go there, gimme a buzz n tell me u wanna buy me dinner there too, i'll gladly take u...ahahahahaha!!!! ;p

Just got bek from back to back dinners...

Last night dinner was great in d sense show was run smoothly... but I didn't really ate much... (sigh! angpow down the drain.. lolz) but had great fun wif a cuzzie who flew specially for the event, plus bride looked really radiant :))

Great fun catching up wif relatives n frens.

Got home tired, tried to rest but the cough surfaced. basket!

Had to struggle out of bed this morning for the tea ceremony. Games played on hengtais were a fun time n sporting groom/guys. Tea ceremony A bit messy on our end... But heck we had a great time laughing.
After that off to in laws place. Gosh.. We thought our end was messy ? THERE lagi ... aiyohhh *slapz forehead*.... but we just kept quiet...

Late afternoon wedding ceremony to pronounce them man & wife. then Round 2 Dinner at the Equitorial... DAMN Chun the deco... i loved it... and the food was so much greater than yday's.

Tonight our side was bit more relaxed, we kept each other entertained...lolz.

Fun fun fun!

D Trip back to Ipoh was.....a BLASTTTTTTTTTT

OK a brief one on it.....

Arrive there Friday afternoon, attended the bride-to-be 'dinner', off for supper Ong Kee Nga Choy Kai, back to bride home to see the hair combing ceremony, chat wif other zhi muis....

Sat morning for the tea ceremony (bride side) had fun playing the games, then waited for the siew yuk that groom provided, then off to Kong Heng for Ipoh Sar Hor Fun and porker pork satay... YUMMMMMMM *Cuz...Had your share on your behalf...*, then off for the haircut, pitstop at Pusing to get Warn Thau Lorng, 3pm - First Chou for awesome siew yuk (except I didn't really enjoy the FATTY part of it...)
Then home to rest a bit and the dinner.
Dinner - company was GREAT but food was disappointing...Then dear old mum n A.Jenny pick me up. home and had vegetarian supper - taufu sumbat (cuz..see i so nice... ate on your behafl your share in my tummy)

Sunday morning.... breakfast supposed to be heading for curry mee cos N wanted to try some nice ones, tapi tarak... then we proceeded to Sun Yiin Long but close... arghhhhhh basket... ended up in a ... bah Coffeeshop... not nice laaa a bit disappointed... but ok la..
After that to visit aunt at her new home. NICE!!! :))

then home for some not so fresh cockles (overnight ones)... Luckily no diarrhea ...

And headed home laaaaaaaa

Nice trip overall... Great company.

Ok then on the way home, i got the call from pretty bride to be that...

The nex day we're supposed to depart at 9am... I'm like... FARK... So dem early... Turns out she n family all travelling together gether...

I was expecting to go ard 11.. and then can do some errands...sighzzz

So asked her back Why does she haf to drive an extra car if going wif her family. Waffor right ??

It's like...some kinda jinx liddat..2nd time to attend a dearly beloved friend's wedding in Ipoh, some cockup will happen.

In a way, it's good oso la... For this time ard, Am gonna be going wif Mum instead who wants to go back to Ipoh anyways...There - got food guide to take US go makan.... yahooooooo

Dinner was great too,thks to godpa who made sure everyone had food n drinks.

So far... Nice...

Work's getting manageable. Colleagues are beginning to gel... which is .. good.. Pray it stays this way :)

Gym's also good... though the misses are being LATE for 2classes. DEMMIT! Been doing Pump classes too.. not bad eh? heh!

FOOD'S ALSO ALSO good... heh! am struggling as hell not to whack like crazy... only had 70% of the dim sum bfast yday.. lolz....
Also STARTED to eat 'healthily'... OATS ... as breakfast. My first one on Saturday...IT SO SUCKED man.. I was so not used to it... But gulped the damn thing down...
This morning HAD another go at it... Way to go... Now I gotta add in more healthier, yummy stuff ...like the raisin... mmmm

Sis is back... so i reckon more eating wif the family *swoon* crazy la liddis.. I will haf to work doubly hard at the gym...wat wif CNY coming up too... yikes!
